ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Laurel Short, DNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Headache Specialist at Sunflower Medical in Roeland Park, KS. She earned her undergraduate degree in Nursing from Luther College, Master’s degree in Nursing from the University of Kansas, and her Doctor of Nursing degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She holds an Added Qualification in Headache Medicine Certification and is an active leader with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Self-management for chronic conditions has been a focus for Laurel throughout her nursing career, and she is passionate about partnering with headache patients to optimize function and wellness through multimodal treatment.
Annika Ehrlich, DNP, is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner caring for patients at the UCSF Headache Center in San Francisco, CA. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the UCSF School of Nursing, where she also serves as an assistant clinical professor (volunteer). She is a certified neuroscience nurse with an Additional Qualification in Headache Medicine. A national leader in headache advocacy and education, she is board President with the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy, and is the Advanced Practice Provider Advisor to the board of the American Headache Society.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Dawn C. Buse PhD, a Clinical Professor of Neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a member of the Board of Directors of the Headache Cooperative of the Pacific and a licensed psychologist. She has worked with people with migraine and other chronic painful conditions for more than two decades as well as conducting research and being an active patient advocate. She has approximately 250 scientific publications and has won 15 US and international research and professional awards for her work in the field of migraine and headache diseases.
Shoshana Lipson is the President of Hope in Pain, Inc. and the Executive Director of Migraine Meanderings™ and Hope for Migraine™. She is a patient advocate, speaker, and writer with a passion to encourage, support, educate and inspire people with migraine and other chronic pain conditions to find purpose and value in the midst of chronic illness.
